Jill Dash joined ACS in 2008 and, having led the lawyer chapters for several years, currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Engagement. In this capacity, she oversees ACS’s work on several special projects, including judicial nominations; state courts, money and politics; the Voting Rights Institute; access to justice issues; and outreach efforts to key elements of the ACS network.
Before joining ACS, Jill practiced law at Zuckerman Spaeder, LLP as a litigator in various areas including securities, tort litigation, employment discrimination and child custody. In addition, Jill was a law clerk to the Honorable Laura Taylor Swain at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Previously, she practiced at the Federal Trade Commission Division of Advertising Practices and at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld.
Jill graduated magna cum laude with distinction from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 1997 and from Duke University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2000. She currently serves on the board of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
She lives in Maryland with her husband and two girls.
