Hannah V. Hastings joined ACS in 2015 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Strategic Engagement. She contributes to the organization's work on judicial nominations and why courts matter. Hannah is responsible for maintaining information on the courts and assisting with engagement opportunities around judicial vacancies.
Before joining ACS, Hannah served as the Communications Manager and Legislative Aide for Massachusetts State Sen. Sonia Chang-Díaz (D-Mass.) where she managed the Senator’s digital and traditional media presence and the LGBTQ, labor, and revenue legislative portfolios. She led the Senator’s work to protect against discrimination on the basis of gender identity and increased constituent engagement through social media. Hannah started her career as a paralegal at Advancement Project supporting the voter protection, school-to-prison pipeline, and rights restoration programs.
Hannah graduated from Smith College, where she majored in Government and Portuguese and Brazilian Studies.
