New York Lawyer Chapter presents "A Sneak Preview of 'A Class Apart'"
ACS’s New York Lawyer Chapter, Active Voice, American GI Forum of the United States, the Hispanic National Bar Association, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, Fordham Law School Louis Stein Center for Law and Ethics, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the New York Democratic Lawyers Council present, “A Sneak Preview of A Class Apart,” a documentary film chronicling the landmark 14th Amendment case, Hernandez v. Texas. Opening remarks by Fernando A. Bohorquez, Jr., Partner, Baker and Hostetler LLP and Member, Board of Directors, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, with a discussion panel following the film by Carlos Sandoval, Producer & Director, A Class Apart and Recipient of the Sundance Special Jury Prize (2004) for his film Farmingville; Peter Miller, Producer and Director, A Class Apart and Producer and Director of the award-winning films Sacco and Vanzetti and The Internationale; and Cesar A. Perales, Founder, President and General Counsel, LatinoJustice PRLDEF. The event will occur on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at the McNally Amphitheater, Fordham Law School, 140 West 62nd Street, New York, New York.
