On May 29, 2008, over a hundred lawyers and law students met at Lima in Washington, D.C. to welcome summer associates and interns to the city and to kick off ACS's summer programming in D.C. Law students in town for the summer came along to hear about ACS activities in the city where they may one day come to work and to learn how to become more involved in the organization once they return to D.C. as attorneys at the end of next summer. Many members of ACS's D.C. Lawyer Chapter joined the students to discuss ACS's activities in D.C. The D.C. chapter will host a similar gathering this coming September to welcome D.C.'s newest attorneys and the lawyer chapter's newest members.
