What Price "Justice:" Sentencing the Innocent to Death

ACS’s Los Angeles Lawyer Chapter and the Individual Rights Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association present “What Price ‘Justice’: Sentencing the Innocent to Death” featuring Ray Krone, Director of Communications and Training, Witness to Innocence and the 100th exonerated from death row since the death penalty was reinstated in 1977; Danette E. Meyers, President, Los Angeles County Bar Association and Deputy District Attorney, Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office; Paul Koretz, former Member, California State Assembly, 42nd District, 2000-2006; Ronald J. Tabak, Special Counsel, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, Chair, Death Penalty Committee, ABA Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities and President, New York Lawyers Against the Death Penalty and moderated by Richard M. Macias, President, Macias Government Relations. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the Los Angeles County Bar Association, 261 S. Figueroa Street, Suite 300, Los Angeles, California.
