ACS’s Dallas Lawyer Chapter presents “A Special Screening of ‘A Class Apart’”
ACS’s Colorado Lawyer Chapter, the University of Colorado Law School and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Student Chapters, Active Voice, the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado, the American GI Forum of the United States, the Civil Rights Committee of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Equal Justice Society, the Hispanic National Bar Foundation, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, the Latino Law Students Association of the University of Colorado Law School, the Latino Law Students Association of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Latino Public Broadcasting and Public Broadcasting System present “A Special Screening of ‘A Class Apart,’” a documentary film chronicling the landmark 14th Amendment case, Hernandez v. Texas. A post-screening discussion will be held, featuring Nathan Cortez, Assistant Professor of Law, Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and The Honorable Teresa Guerra Snelson, Associate Judge, Civil District, Dallas County. The event will occur on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, doors open at 6:00 p.m. and film screening will begin at 6:30 p.m., at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, Walsh Classroom, 6504 Airline Road, Dallas, TX.
