Elizabeth Frankel is the Associate Director of the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights at the University of Chicago. The Young Center promotes the best interests-the safety, permanency and well-being-of unaccompanied and separated immigrant, migrant and refugee children in the United States.

Before joining the Young Center, Ms. Frankel practiced in the areas of immigration and litigation at Verrill Dana LLP, where she devoted substantial time to asylum and removal cases. Ms. Frankel also clerked for the Honorable Susan Calkins of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court after graduating from NYU School of Law.

She will discuss the Obama administration's approach to immigration policy and the likelihood for future reform.
