The ACS and the South Asian Law Students Association are screening Valarie Kaur's (YLS '11) documentary film 'Divided We Fall' on September 15th at 4:15 pm (http://www.dwf-film.com/). The screening of selections from the film will be followed by a panel discussion with Valarie, Professor Muneer Ahmad, Yale University Chaplain Sharon Kugler and Coordinator for Muslim Life Omer Bajwa. Given the "Ground Zero Mosque" controversy and the recent outbreak of hate incidents against Sikhs, Arabs, Muslims, and South Asians, the panelists will examine some of the challenges faced by these minority communities on the 9th Anniversary of the September 11th attacks, along with the implications of these hate attacks on America's national identity. The event also commemorates the anniversary of the first person killed in post-9/11 anti-Muslim violence, which has resurged today.
