On Thursday, September 27, 2007, the Georgia Lawyer Chapter hosted a film screening of Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderson’s American Journey. The event was co-sponsored by the Gate City Bar Association. The film examines the inspiring work of one the first African-American federal judges in the United States and chronicles the impact of his decisions on the lives of millions. In addition to the screening, attendees heard remarks by Harold E. Franklin, Jr. President, Gate City Bar Association; The Honorable Horace T. Ward U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia; Lisa Brown, Executive Director of the American Constitution Society; and Abby Ginzberg, Soul of Justice Filmmaker.
