Zinelle October, Director of Student Chapters

Zinelle October joined ACS in November 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Student Chapters. In this capacity, she manages the programming and growth of ACS’s nationwide network of law student chapters, develops the existing network of ACS student chapters, facilitates the programming of student chapters, seeks opportunities to found new ACS student chapters, builds and maintains relationships with faculty advisors, and integrates student chapter activities and chapter members into ACS’s substantive initiatives and network of members.

Before joining ACS, Zinelle served as a National Urban Fellow at the National Association of Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund, where she focused on voting and election reform issues. Before the fellowship, Zinelle practiced law for six years at firms in Florida and New York.

Zinelle graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in history, the Florida State University School of Law with a J.D., and Baruch College with a Master of Public Administration. While in law school, she was a member of the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy, Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law and the Student Supreme Court.
