Palak Sheth, Associate Director of Special Projects

 

Palak Sheth joined ACS in August 2010 and currently serves as the Associate Director of Special Projects. In this capacity, she supports and promotes ACS’s growing network of lawyers, law students, scholars and policymakers by coordinating projects that engage lawyer and student chapter members in a variety of substantive areas, such as immigration and indigent defense, providing career and clerkship support, and engaging ACS members and partner non-profit organizations to support these goals. Until 2011, Palak served as the Assistant Director of Lawyer Chapters.

Before joining ACS, Palak was the Program Director for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), where she worked with NAPABA members to raise awareness of Asian American issues and represent the interests of the Asian American legal community. In addition, Palak was a post-graduate fellow at the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC), a legal services organization that addresses the needs of low-income and limited-English proficient Asian Americans in the Metro DC area.

Palak graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Asian Students and Case Western Reserve University School of Law with a J.D.
