
Nicholas Alexiou joined ACS in September 2011 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Lawyer Chapters. In this capacity, he assists in the management and development of ACS’s nationwide network of lawyers, including building new lawyer chapters across the country, advancing ACS’s substantive initiatives, facilitating the transition of student members to lawyer members, and strengthening the role of lawyer members in the ACS network.
Before joining ACS, Nicholas was in the Complex Commercial Litigation practice group in the Washington, D.C. office of Sidley Austin LLP. In addition, Nicholas was a law clerk to the Honorable Margaret B. Seymour, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of South Carolina. Prior to attending law school, he worked at The Education Trust, an education non-profit located in Washington, D.C.
Nicholas graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2002, from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a Master of Arts in 2003, and New York University School of Law with a J.D. in 2008. While in law school, he served as Senior Symposium Editor for the New York University Journal of International Law and Politics.
