Lisa Hayes currently serves as the Vice President of Development and Senior Counsel. In this capacity, she leads the fundraising team charged with ensuring that ACS has the necessary resources to further a progressive vision of the Constitution. Lisa is also responsible for assisting the President with organizational long-term strategy and positioning.
Before joining ACS, Lisa was a member of the senior management team at a national nonprofit organization dedicated to making justice and our courts more accessible for all Americans. Earlier in her career, she was a partner with a Seattle law firm, where her practice included serving as lead counsel in more than a dozen trials and appeals, often involving Constitutional questions of law.
She graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts and from the University of Washington School of Law with a J.D. Lisa is a published author, frequent speaker at educational and civic events, and has been repeatedly honored on a local and national level for her professional and community efforts.
