The Ohio Constitutional Modernization Commission: A Discussion

Featuring:

  • Rep. Kathleen Clyde (D - Kent), State Representative, District 68, Ohio House of Representatives; Member, Ohio Constitutional Modernization Commission
  • Sen. Larry Obhof (R-Montville Township), State Senator, District 22, Ohio Senate; Member, Ohio Constitutional Modernization Commission

Moderated by:

  • Steven H. Steinglass, Professor, Dean Emeritus, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law; Co-Author, The Ohio State Constitution: A Reference Guide

Professor Steinglass started with a quick history of the Ohio Constitution and then the two legislators weighed in with what they hoped to get out of the Ohio Constitutional Modernization Commission.  The audience was filled with various judges, both retired and sitting, along with some very knowledgeable people.  The event truly turned into a discussion, as the audience members asked various questions regarding the Ohio Constitution and the panel members gave them the benefit of their thoughts.
