The Boston Lawyer Chapter presented the Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall Award to two deserving honorees for their work on access to justice: Marc Gary, former General Counsel of Fidelity Investments, and Robert Sable, former Executive Director of Greater Boston Legal Services. Mr. Gary, who is now at the Jewish Theological Seminary, led successful fund-raising campaigns on behalf of several nonprofits, including GBLS, and was previously recognized by the Pro Bono Institute’s prestigious Zelon Award for promoting pro bono service and diversity in the legal profession. Mr. Sable dedicated his entire career to providing legal representation to the most vulnerable and marginalized people in our society and previously received the Boston Bar Association’s esteemed John G. Brooks Legal Services Award.
