Board of Directors Election
Please join the ACS Colorado Lawyer Chapter as we elect a new Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Please see below for the positions that are available. All current members of the chapter in good standing are eligible to be nominated. If you are interested in running for the ACS Colorado Lawyer Chapter Board of Directors, even if you cannot attend the elections and happy hour, please contact Tim Garvey here or Chris Larson here.

The President shall be Chair of the Board of Directors and shall preside at all meetings of the Directors; and shall appoint the chairs/co-chairs of all committees, temporary or permanent.
The President shall designate herself/himself or another member of the Board of Directors as the Chapter Representative to be responsible for communicating with the national ACS office on a regular basis, submitting lawyer chapter funding requests, and submitting other information needed by the national ACS office, including the identification of and contact information for Chapter members and the Board of Directors.
The Vice President shall, in the event of the absence or inability of the President to exercise his/her office, become acting President of the Chapter with all the rights, privileges, and powers as if he/she had been the duly elected President. The Vice President shall preside at meetings of the Board of Directors in the event the President is absent.
The Vice President shall develop a mechanism to give individual Chapter members a reasonable time prior to the annual election to make known their interest in holding a particular position on the Board of Directors.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall keep the minutes and records of the Chapter, both in hard copy and in electronic form, to the extent possible. The Secretary/Treasurer shall take the minutes of Board of Directors meetings and the annual membership meeting; maintain the meeting minutes; and maintain electronic and hard copy records of the membership list, as provided by the national ACS office.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall send a copy of the minutes to all Directors; shall be the official custodian of the records of this Chapter; shall submit to the Board of Directors any communications addressed to him/her as Secretary of the Chapter; and shall attend to all correspondence of the Chapter.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall maintain the Chapter's financial records, to the extent that such records are required, and shall have the care and custody of all monies received by the Chapter, if any. The Secretary/Treasurer shall forward said monies to the national ACS office.
